Back in the day, I used to think life coaches are BS – I mean, how arrogant is it that someone claims to be a coach of life? What the heck do life coaches do exactly anyway?

So why is it that someone like me is in training to be an Internationally Certified Professional Coach now? Life continues to work wonders on us with a little wink. I’ve always had these experiences where strangers approach me to feel open enough to tell me their stories and life challenges. I could be waiting for a bus, minding my business, and end up finding out a lot about my fellow commuter’s family issues by the time the bus arrives. People also come to me on the street and seem to let go a bit and start to cry, too. Things like this happen so often that I now expect it every time I step outside of my home. It all seems random, but I take it as a gift. I enjoy helping people.

But I did start to wonder how I could expand my toolbox to help people even better along with my Reiki practice. I’m a big believer in manifestation. We ask, and we receive. I remember finally paying attention and reading the description of a particular life coaching program, after knowing that it existed for a while. There was a sense of knowing without knowing for sure that it was exactly what I needed even though it was a huge commitment – so I took another leap of faith. Now I understand why we’re called coaches (see FAQ below) and it has nothing to do with being arrogant. It’s actually quite the opposite.

I know how challenging it can be to see the light on your own, especially when you feel stressed, overwhelmed and alone. My mission is to provide you a safe, healing, and nonjudgmental space to support you with:

• getting to know yourself as who you are today to reconnect with your core values
• gaining awareness, clarity, and confidence
• learning how to honor your needs and prioritize yourself without feeling self-centered
• letting go of limiting beliefs and behaviors that no longer serve you
• reducing overwhelm and get organized and energized

I’m excited to share my new found passion for supporting you with reconnecting with your passion and getting you unstuck to live out your dreams.

For a limited time, until I am officially certified at the end of 2017, I’m offering my life coaching package at a super discounted rate. Frequently Asked Questions

What is coaching?

Coaching is a powerful, ongoing relationship that helps you focus and realize your visions and goals. With a coach, you will get the tools and support to remove obstacles and facilitate change. Coaches help you to grow, understand yourself even deeper and live a fulfilled life with purpose.

What does a relationship with a life coach look like?

In the same way a coach helps a professional athlete perform at higher levels, a life coach helps you maximize your personal and professional potential. A good life coach is a partner who supports and challenges you to explore new directions you’ve never explored before to see the possibilities in you and beyond. As your coach, I will support, encourage and believe in you, while holding you accountable and keeping you on track to move towards your goals. Together, we will co-create a collaborative relationship that works for you to live out your values and dreams.

How is coaching done?

Typically, individual coaching is done by telephone. FaceTime or Skype option is available, if preferred.

What is a typical session like?

The hallmark of coaching is self-responsibility. The client sets the agenda for the session, and the coach follows that agenda. First-time clients are often surprised to realize coaches aren’t here to give advice or solutions. Instead, you can expect powerful and clarifying questions, focused and fine-tuned planning tools, and accountability. By expanding your capacity by leveraging every situation, you’re prepared to take on challenges in life. Coaching can transform you and the way you look at life. As your coach, I’ll support you thoroughly and wholeheartedly during our time together.

What are some of the common misconceptions about coaching?

Coaching is not therapy, counseling, or consulting. Coaches are not here to give you advice or solutions. As your coach, I believe you’re whole and resourceful. I support you in reaching your own decisions and results that you’re responsible for, which in the end is more powerful. Coaching does not treat illness or pathology. You will find that coaching focuses on strategic planning and personal growth and does not attempt to heal emotional trauma. A good coach focuses on you, not the issue or problem at hand. Coaching is focused on your strengths, not weakness, and on the future, not the past. Coaches regularly refer clients to other professionals for issues that are better suited to a therapeutic relationship.

Where are you getting trained at?

I am getting trained at the Coaching for Transformation program at the New York Open Center in NYC. Due to graduate with certification at the end of 2017.

Why choose someone who is still in training over someone who has been a life coach for years?

The choice is entirely up to you and do what feels good for you. One of the clear advantages is cost – the average life coaching session can cost anywhere from $100 to $500 and up per session. At this time until the end of 2017, I’m offering my 3-months package with 10 sessions for $300 – that’s only $30 per session. Another advantage is that I am currently practicing, learning, living and reading and dreaming about life coaching at any given moment; I have my own life coach, peer coaches, advisors, and mentors, as well as attending training classes, reading text books, articles and blogs, and most importantly, I am practicing and being coached constantly. And this may be an advantage over someone who has been certified years ago yet may not be consistent with their practice or someone who decided to call themselves life coaches without proper or sufficient training.

What’s my next step?

Contact me if you’re interested in working with me at [email protected] or call/text at 347.509.6455. We’ll set up a time for a complimentary strategy session to see if we’re a good fit. If so, our first step is for you to review my Welcome Packet and fill out some of the forms as well as the optional intake questions. We’ll also schedule a discovery session to officially start our collaborative coaching partnership. I look forward to hearing from you.
